We typically see mostly Spirit Quartz/Amethyst coming from South Africa but this particular type looks like a spirit quartz cluster without the amethyst overgrowth. There does not seem to be very much of this material. Quite sparkly, with a thin translucent layer of growth over the underlying quartz, almost like a fuzz.
